I’m Louise

I grew up on the sunny beaches of Sydney, Australia. At an early age I became obsessed with fashion and fashion magazines and photographers. I’d hoard foreign Vogues, French Elle, Marie Clare — anything I could find. I knew somehow this was the industry I’d be in.

I enrolled in college to study fashion design, but was soon lured away by an invitation to go to New York and try my luck pounding the pavements with my modeling portfolio; I’d been ‘discovered’ in High School and had been modeling on weekends and holidays. From there I travelled to Paris and London, Milan and Germany. I got assignments in far flung places of the globe. It was truly a wonderful education in life!

At the ripe old age of 26 I found myself ‘aging’ out of modeling. I was in New York wondering what the hell I would do next, when a hairdresser I worked with suggested I style a music video he was working on. And that’s how I moved to the other side of the camera. A few months later, I got a call from Mick Jagger’s management. He was looking for a stylist and they had seen my work. I worked with Mick and the Stones for several years. He was always fun to be around. I worked with The Jacksons, Ringo Starr and dressed many Rock and Roll giants.

I made the move out to Los Angeles and started with commercials and gradually moved into features and tv shows. I’ve worked with some of the best directors in the business and am very grateful for all the creative jobs that have come my way. Every project is different and represents it’s own challenges and I love being able to bring both director and clients’ visions to life. Nothing is more pleasing than a job well done!

I’m now entering a new phase of design - Interiors and gardens! I enjoy decor and designing rooms and gardens has become a passion of mine. I’ve always been a fabric addict, so dressing a body and dressing a room is something I truly enjoy and hope to help others live in joy, comfort and style.
